After a heart-wrenching loss like the Dallas Cowboys suffered at the hands of the undefeated Denver Broncos last week, you’d expect there to be some tension in the Cowboys’ locker room afterwards. And that tension can boil over into fisticuffs very quickly. It is something you might expect from a group of disappointed players who might need to vent their frustrations after losing a close game. But it is not something you’d expect from members of the media.

Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee was being interviewed after Sundays’ loss to the Broncos when two members of the media began to scuffle. Lee described the situation on 105.3 The Fan’s Ben and Skin Show on Thursday:

“I don’t know exactly the whole deal, but it looked like it was a revenge shot. One of the camera guys went after, I think Calvin Watkins, and kind of gave him a little deck into the wall. I don’t know what happened before that, but they got into to it a little bit right by me. At first, it looked like something was going to go down. So I said: I’m already mad. I’m in a bad mood. I need to get out of here.”

Lee quickly left the area, but soon returned to answer questions after everyone settled down. The hosts of the radio show laughed at the notion of Lee himself getting involved in the skirmish with media members. When asked what might have happened had they bumped into him, Lee responded jokingly:

“I’m telling you, it would have been trouble. (laughs) I could have been out a couple weeks, suspended…round house kicking everyone possible.”
